Two elderly Women in my Neighborhood were recently scammed out of their savings. One is selling her house and the other has nothing to leave her children now. How is this Evil allowed to continue? They were both showing symptoms of dementia. Where are the Banks when the money is getting pulled out?
It is so evil. I never dreamed that anything could be done about it. I hope that their scammers are caught and that they may get some money back.
The elderly lady that I take care of is going through her bank now; because she recently fell for a scam despite my insisting that she always check with me before signing up or paying for anything that comes in on her phone. It’s a real battle trying to protect the elderly!
We are a high trust society. These scammers use this to their advantage. They are truly evil. Anything for profit.

You are right when it comes to younger people. Older adults however, didn't get the memo so they get scammed.
I was on a list because my phone number is the contact for two people on Medicare. I was receiving frequent calls from these scam companies that defraud the system by getting authorization for unneeded devices.
A few months ago, I got frustrated and told a caller to remove my number from their list. In retaliation, they switched me over to an outright harassment project.
Calls would come in from a different spoofed number, each time; so blocking was impossible. Every call that went to voicemail was the same message “Goodbye”.
I was receiving 20-30 calls per day, like Chinese water torture. I had to set up my calls to be verified before ringing in, but they continued and popped up on my screen constantly while filling up my voice mailbox with hundreds of the same message per week.
Then, yesterday…silence. Glorious, peaceful silence. No more intrusive alerts constantly popping up on my screen. I was on the verge of ditching my longstanding phone number, just to be rid of the harassment. Had actually mentioned doing this just a few days ago.
And just like that. It stopped. Thank you Trump DOJ for this verifiable action that has improved the lives of so many millions of Americans. I hope and pray that the data center slaves have been rescued!
Glad to hear there was some kind of relief for you. This is a huge problem that simply is not covered enough. These operations are huge and very sophisticated - many of them backed by CCP national security personnel that give them protection and cover. They know no boundaries as long as they make money. It is evil.

I have never had this before. This last week my phone has been blowing up. Blocking does no good. Not many people have this cell number. Only family, friends, my bank, and doctor's office. That is it. I have a regular land line for doing other business. So not sure how my number got out there. I am thinking about changing it.
If an indian “works” in any of those places, they have your number and many more details.
Same here...all of a sudden last week. Similar number. It just warms my heart when you get spam calls about loans on the business line... AND what's really great is they're the kind that fill up your voicemail too - Just in case they weren't able to waste your time in person/live, they can waste your time cleaning up their mess later.
The whole thing is bullshit...I want to stuff the 4 pounds of junk mail I get in their mouths and play Beekeeper
My answering machine on the land line stopped working about a year ago. I don't miss it and have no intentions of getting it fixed.
