so here we go again, trying to have it both ways
on the one hand, the medical and psych establishment refuses to offically label trans issues as legitimate mental or physical problems, because it might stigmatize a perfectly normal human variation
but on the other hand, some of these people urgently need life-saving, medically-necessary, gender affirming care
how is it life-saving?
oh, because someone might commit suicide if they don’t get the treatments right away

i suspect that if you sincerely feel the need to have strangers “affirm” your gender… then you probably aren’t that gender to begin with
I agree. Any time I hear someone say "I self-identify as..." it means "I'm pretending to be...".
Nobody who actually IS something would claim to self-identify as that. You either are or you aren't.
Self-identify means that you are aware that you aren't what you claim... but you are earnestly pretending to be.
