Solar generated more US electricity than coal for the first time ever in May 2026 as coal’s decline accelerated, according to Ember.

I mean, solar just doesn't work in many places and they indeed use Coal and Oil - take Kauai, Hawaii for example - solar doesn't work there (room as well as having the raniest place on earth there) and they have oil burning power plants and import in the oil. Wave power I would think would be in use there, but I'm sure that's regulated against.
