The FIFA Fan Festival (international soccer) festival in East Downtown Houston was cancelled for today and tomorrow due to severe thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, and ongoing flood warnings.
The Juneteenth Houston Celebrate Freedom Festival at Emancipation Park was also transitioned to community activations instead of a large gathering because of the same severe weather.
It's such a shame that we can't have an outdoor gay international soccer fest... or an even gayer racial parade. :>(
Juneteenth is an embarrassment to this nation. So is pride month. Both are pathetic.
