Property tax is not a statewide thing, despite Google thinking so. Property tax is county and city based. One would have to check each individual county in either state. I know that the NC counties I've lived in charged property taxes on all motor vehicles, licensed trailers, mobile homes, and the contents of rentals. Google somehow thinks property only includes real estate. I never paid property tax on the real estate I was renting, only on the contents that I personally owned.
And that's a good thing.
BTW, property tax is also on motor vehicles and even your furniture, etc. if you are merely renting.
