The myth: democrats are for the working man. This was never the case. The democrats were for the union power, money and voters. They detested the rest. The unions hate illegal immigration. It undercuts their wages and takes away jobs. That is why the democrats used to talk anti-immigration and actually deport a lot of them. That has all changed. The democrats have gone all in on illegal invasion. And many of the unions have dumped them in favor of MAGA. A culmination of the trend the union workers started.
The unstated goal of socialism, communism, fascism, and liberalism is the destruction of the middle class. Now that they have dumped the non-government unions, they are moving all in on that goal.
A key Democrat focus item is the 2030 census. They think that will give them perpetual control. But Trump is going to totally destroy that effort.
Ugh, I grew up hearing that. In the little mountain town I grew up in in East Tennessee, coal and timber were king. Coal miners were easy targets for unionizing and there were killings and one bomb attack on a union office. I always heard that trope (Democrats were for working people), but I never really accepted it based on the evidence I saw.
Even then, even there, as a young kid who thought too much, I felt that the Republican Party was more aligned with me than the Dims... but I couldn't vote. Wisely, I kept my opinions to myself, except to my parents. They were quite amused, maybe a little stunned, that I would bother to have such opinions at that age.
Just like everything else, the commie dems have projected everything opposite of what they truly stand for, for their entire existence.
The communists are for subverting unions and have been since the 1930s.
Good post. And true!
I learned this when I started working in the 70s.
