What ninnies actually give a rat’s ass what Vietnamese people eat? I see more people here up in arms about cats than children! I haven’t seen this many folks ever freaking out about what the elites have been eating!! They’ve always eaten cats and dogs over there! So what!?!? You people remind me of the global warming crowd all whipped up in tizzy over bullshit that pales in comparison to our own bad stuff right here in USA.

Cruelty to dogs, cats, horses, dolphins, crows, octopuses (I still want to type octopi), and orcas does work me up into a frenzy.
It isn't an animal-versus-human issue.
It is an innocent issue. The Slaughter (AKA Massacre) of the Innocents is horrific because innocents are dependent, vulnerable, and trusting. Some are sentient or domesticated and bond with humans. These are traits that cause the urge to protect and cherish in standard-issue humans.
People without empathy are, frankly, to be watched, and there is good reason to mistrust them.
If they can't work up empathy for a Golden Retriever or Maine Coon, where do you think you are going to rate if push comes to shove?
