Perot would have won, had President GB's CIA not pulled their shenanigans. He was 100% correct on most issues, but made the mortal sin of not being a slick huckster like President Clinton. Oh, I was with Perot, but he self-sabotaged his campaign by dropping out not far from elections---then dropping back in. His momentum was lost and he just revealed himself as someone who could not be depended on. Just a flash in the pan. It was a feckless and fatal move. No imaginary CIA shenanigans. He screwed the pooch all on his own. He was riding a wave, but he deliberately broke it before the crest. With so much political stupidity on display, there was no way to vote for him. I disagree with your assessment about the CIA involvement. But I agree that he screwed up his momentum.
