Q and The emergence of civilian mission command in the information age
First, I must warn you that most of you will find the linked article by Martin Geddes to be REALLY heavy reading. I struggled through it without full comprehension and I have a brain the size of a planet. (I'm modest, too.)
So I suggest that you skip to the section that begins with "The Q drops operated on this model." Read till the end and then decide if you want to read the complete article from the beginning.

Then there's a follow-up article, which you might like to read if your brain is still functioning. (Nothing really to do with Q. Just Martin's personal struggles.):
And then it was over. Testimony of an Anon.
In that respect Martin is like me. He has no time for "religion", which is mostly organized brainwashing and another means of control. Oh, I'll grant you that Christianity has some good points: getting people to help others is great. Encouraging a sense of community is great. Do unto others as you would be done by is great. But "God will punish you if ..." is not so great. Fighting others because they don't share your beliefs is not good.
What you should say is "organized religion." I have found that 100% of Protestant denominations fail to follow all the doctrines and facts enumerated in the New Testament. They all just leave out stuff. The Catholic church does the same. I belong to a church, only for the worshipping together part. I try to slip in some facts occasionally.
The Bible is true and provably so in almost every point. A few things are beyond our ability to prove. I have been reading and studying for over 60 years.
Yah, good question to figure out for each of us.. am I following Jesus or a religious ideal/leader.
This is the stance of Data Republican on Christianity, its mine as well. https://datarepublican.com/christianity/
The existence of evil is very real. We can fight back with good. No need for church, but some folks like it. God is the Creator of the universe. We are created in His image. We have a Freewill, we can choose to overcome evil with good. We don't occupy a spiritual vacuum. Is a Just God supposed to allow evil to go unpunished? Have you carefully observed what happens to a person who knowingly willingly repeatedly turns their back on God? Sometimes we get to see the consequences in real time, which are stunning. Who knows what happens after death?
Puts hand up. Please, I know what happens!
