Just to point out, “fuck” and its various parts of speech is not cursing. It is ugly language. It’s the same with other words used to describe people or things. Calling someone a “prick” or a “son of a bitch” is uncomplimentary but it doesn’t call for harm to them. By the way, it isn’t swearing either. Swearing as a sin consists of uttering false oaths.
Every one of us has a fraying point. Not all of us are stoic by nature or habit. Stoicism lives not so much on hopium, but by apathy to the world's shortfalls. Take it as a sign that Dave is strongly in love with this world.
