It now occurs to me that "Eaton" is a homonym for "Eaten." (not a pun)

British boys' schools were where the term "fag" originated. As from nautical ropework, "fag" meant the tail end of a line of rope (the fag end). It was applied as a nickname to a younger boy who followed an older boy around, like a tail end ("his fag").
