When the military puts out a press release saying that they are performing a training exercise - nothing to see here dear public - are they EVER performing a training exercise?
That's it. Thanks. The so called training exercise was the cover for the main operation that took place in the Wilshire area. Like I stated, the only reason we became aware of it was because a guy was in the building next door and wondered what the hell was going on. He took video of it. The area is pretty deserted at night because it's basically a commercial area. He was working late or something like that. It has been so long I couldn't remember all the details.
I meant my question literally, though, beyond this particular incident. Part of me suspects they are all cover stories. On the other hand I can imagine that some announced training exercises are indeed training exercises, so that when they need to use the explanation as cover for an actual high stakes covert operation it's more likely to be believed by the general public.
As to the LA incident the hazmat suit aspect is scary.
Exactly. I understand. It often is not what they say it is. But it could be.
But with this incident, when you consider doing an operation like this in the middle of a major city it must be believable to the public just like you said. Makes sense to me. Look here but not there. People would get pretty freaked out seeing those military choppers flying through downtown areas close to the ground at night. A wee bit unsettling to say the least. Training exercise or not, you don't see something like that very often if ever.
