If anyone visits Windsor, NC, there is an excellent restaurant with homemade type food. It's the Heritage House. It's on the old Hwy. 17 not far south of the hospital.
They have a menu, but a lot of people go for the buffet. It's not huge, but there is a lot to like. There is usually boiled ham, boiled potatoes, tomato pudding, meat loaf, fried chicken, and on Sunday's they have boiled pigs' feet. I talked to one man there a few years ago, and he said he drove about 50 miles every Sunday for the pigs' feet.
They also have old-time candy and bags of peanuts for sale.
