Went to doctor. Had blood work done. Showed that I had high blood sugar. Doctor did an in-house A1C test and result was 14, which is off the charts.
I bought a tester where you prick finger and apply blood to test strip, and get a read out. My levels are alarming, and have me worried.
Results are: 256 | 241 | 221 | 261 | 384 | 264 | 394 (Damn it man seem like I'd be dead at these levels)
I did not dream that I might be diabetic so I know nothing about how to deal with this. I do understand that my levels are dangerously high, but I don't even know what that means.
Anyone have these kind of issue. What are you doing to deal with it.
P.S. I suspect this has been going on for a while and I just did not recognize symptoms, until I finally realized I was losing a lot of weight. I was 6'3 221 prior Dr. visit, now last visit I'm 194 lbs. Always been healthy.
Fren, the first thing I would do is adopt a ketogenic diet. You don't need particularly large amounts of insulin to eat a ketogenic diet. Double check your insulin level. The hope here is that an insulin test that can be used to double check you are making sufficient insulin. HOMA-IR is the test. If you just have sky high insulin resistance, intermittent fasting 13-15 hours per day on keto will bring your insulin resistance down to levels where your existing insulin production could potentially keep your blood glucose in check. Also double check your blood pressure. If you are running high, this is a sign of systemic nitric oxide impairment. Nitric oxide is the body's primary signaling molecule, and improving nitric oxide can definitely bring down insulin resistance. PM me if you want additional details! And, no, beet juice or Arginine / Citrulline supplements are not the way. I have a relative right now who was about to lose his leg to diabetic PAD, and he is now slowly recovering based on my suggestions.
Thanks appreciate the input. I have so must info to digest here (pun intended)
Wow, Dr. Ardis just did this video a few hours ago. You got to listen to it.
Dr. Ardis video where he goes over the published science on how Gluggul can prevent side effects, and reverse any damage caused by Metformin, and actually lower blood sugar. He also talks about D3-K2, and shows all the published studies to back up his words, that this also has dramatic affect on lowering Blood Sugar.
