It’s Saturday night, LETS HAVE SOME FUN, even if we are out late tonight. They say 11:00 O’Clock for the speech. Who cares??? Remember two weeks ago when the big UFC Event was at 100% chance of heavy rain, all week long, and just minutes before the card started. Well, there wasn’t a single drop, and the fights turned out to be among the greatest in history, an event for the ages. Our great veterans, especially the old timers, many of whom are there, went through hellfire, and it didn’t stop them. It’s not going to stop us either! I’m not going to let some rain stop our 250th. D.C. storms can bring blessings too - on a summer weekend afternoon, 2005 in front of the Capitol, nobody else around, rain started to pour. A car came around one street and I heard a woman’s voice calling out my nickname. I ignored her voice once or twice as nobody in this city knows me other than the Army friend across the River in Virg. I looked over and it was my piano teacher from elementary school and I had last seen her nine years prior in California at her older son’s wedding - rescued from the rain!

I have never heard that word... but I have experienced more than my share in nearly 66 years of going around in circles... in fact I just got one the other night...6/17/26... I went in the front door of my house and locked up the front wrought iron door and went to sleep....overnight a wheel got separated from whatever vehicle it was on or was carrying it and flew off the upper level of the interstate I live next to at a speed sufficient and elevation sufficient for it to bounce in front of the house up under the overhang of the porch and impact the top of that wrought iron gate at the top of the doorway... leaving a clear tread mark on the painted wood above it... and bounce off that and up into the ceiling of that overhang then land in the front drive. That iron gate is wedged shut now. The door frame inside was damaged... again... but thats another story. The wink...was a you are getting mail notice for a printed 4 pages (2 double sided) letter from my 84 year old half sister where she finally told me the dark secret that made her HATE my Dad. I did not see it until the 24th... as I am not at MY home much while helping out my son at his house with 4 of his kids. This secret involves events, plural, of my Dad doing some seriously warped shit if the story is to be believed. I was conceived after it started. Mom chose to stay and hope for the best without reporting it or to my knowledge getting any help for anyone in the house after in the way of counseling. Different time in 1959. The letter was postmarked 6/17/2026
