Let’s take a closer look at this photo. “The doctors” (during the black plague) used the long beak on “the mask” as a compartment in which to store herbs. So we can easily see their science was flawed. Breathing in herbals through a beak on a mask cannot possibly stop nor filter out any pathogens. Then the people with plague were told “follow the science”.
