I believe that Trump made a deal where the other NATO countries have agreed to buy $1T of US military equipment. A significant boost to our economy and a boost to our defense industry order sheet. Probably another reason Trump was pushing the industry to expand their production capacity. He knew he was going to make this deal.

I no longer consider most of the world countries allies of the US - I don't want them to have our planes or weapons systems.i know Trump always works the "mutual economic benefits" angle... military tech we have should be exclusively ours.
