Moore names four visa categories he wants eliminated: H-1B, OPT, STEM-OPT, and CPT. He calls all four scams and frames the push as protecting American jobs for American workers. The congressman says it's long overdue.
I'm all about ridding corruption, but to be honest, most these guys are not scam artists. Sure some are, but to make this a spotlight with all the other corruption going on? ..C'mon. I own 2 business myself and know quite of bit of consulting company owners. It's really a non issue. To put it bluntly, the jobs these h1b guys take on SUCK...you should be happy someone wants it. Very very little of the US population would ever want to sit 50 hrs programming in a cubicle. We need these guys (Trump said this himself)
We need to focus on corruption that really affect us such as Big Pharma/Insurance/NGO's/Food Industry/ Wasteful tax spending/School fees/BlackRock driving home prices high/Globalism/Climate change hoax/Child trafficking. All waaaaaaaaay bigger problems.
I do feel there should be some sort of integration process for guys coming from 3rd world countries to "blend" in better with the US culture.
Everyone is getting cancer, dying, going broke and YOU are worried about some programming job no one wants to do???????? Priorities.
I hate to say it, because you make good points, however I disagree. People said the same thing about fast food jobs and dishwasher jobs. However, there will always be someone who steps up. I have been desperate enough to work fast food.. when it was $3.35 an hour… and worked my way out of it. But it got me a leg up I needed.
Now no one takes fast food jobs because if you don’t speak Spanish, you won’t be part of the culture and team. If programmers speak English and need money, heck yeah they’ll sit for 40 hours programming.
I have an acquaintance who is self admitted he is lazy. I guarantee he would love a job where all he has to do is sit at a desk and program.

Great that he's named the obvious. Maybe his team can get to drafting a bill?
