The Hill is actually telling the truth here - In February of 2025, Erik Prince and some other investors submitted a plan under the company name 2USV where it was actually feasible to deport 500k PER MONTH. They had found a number of donors who were willing to loan their land for free to the US Government to serve as detention facilities and they had the capability to use more than 100 airplanes to ferry people out of the country. One part of the plan was to declare a portion of CECOT to be US territory so we could send people there pending deportation instead of keeping them in the continental US. Nayib Bukele was part of the planning process and El Salvador was going to receive payment for housing / caring for prisoners. That plan existed and is still exists - all Trump has to do is have some procurement wonk set up sole source justification and award the contract for the unsolicited proposal. Like - Trump could do it TODAY. But no - let's keep the tiny 10,000 federal worker ICE operation going because I'm sure that kung-fu plumber or cowboy Barbie know how to run multbillion dollars logistical operations such as this... Because 10,000 feds could deport 500k per month...you see how crappy our current plan is?
