I think that's routine for any Senator who dies suddenly while in office. Several things about Lindsey, although I didn't necessarily like him: he wasn't involved in any of the dirty money dealing most senators indulge in. No ties to any NGO, no slick stock trades, no traces of unusual donations and his net worth was just over $1 million, most of which was equity on his home. He was my senator and something I noticed meeting him several times over the years is that he dressed nice but not expensively. He obviously wasn't given to extravagance.

Lindsey had an aortic dissection. Same thing that killed his dad at the age of 69.
