Yes the work has meaning, it is building our country. For example, I know of a farmer who grows watermelons. Harvesting is hard work, but the only people willing to do it for what he can pay ($10.75 an hour) are immigrants. He has offered the job to so many people as well as training, but Americans simply aren't willing to work. A lot of people complain about the wage, but that isn't his fault. The big retailers only pay so much, and keeping prices down is important for the economy and increasing shareholder value. Picking melons will help build a better country, but so many people these days are just selfish. The only reason I don't do it is because I have a family, so I need to make more money.
