Hear, hear! During college summers, I kept a job as a harvest driver for the local pea harvest. My multi-ton flatbed truck had 5 forward gears and a 2-range transaxle. It took a little bit of getting used to, but I did get to the point where I could (for example) accomplish a 2nd(high) to 3rd(low) in one movement if I was picking up speed with a full load. But that was enough for me.
