I'm on the fringe of the wildfires. I can confirm that it hasn't been "cool, wet or temperate" this summer.
Also, the idea of "cleaning the woodlands" may sound sensible, but in a region as vast as northern Ontario it's absurd. Much like saying the Sahara needs to be swept.
