How old are you? There is prolly a version of journey for every age group. And if you are really old you would know some of my version came outta santana iirc lol
When i first met them in west germany it was ross gregg neil and aynsley. This was prolly tail end 76 or very early 77. Came home to texas and they were touring here so hung out at a few shows for a few years. Did a lotta media on em. Took a lotta grief from em cause i was a minor lol but good guys. Aynsley had drug issues and was on the same bill in foat wuth as steve smith one show. Journey was headlining a 3band show and steve was the drummer for the opening band iirc and beat the crap outta his kit kicked it over and ran off the stage strait out thru the audience. Place went nuts. Aynsley cn overcome that and for all intents and purposes steve got hired that night. So the lineup i hung out with the most was steve perry, neil ross gregg and steve smith. Nice guys all of them. Their road manager too. I did not know cain with journey per se but did cover him a few times as a solo and with other acts. Sittin in was a big thing back then with up and comers. Man that was 50 years ago. I am officially old. Smh
Nice guy. Authentic talent. Not one of the original bandmembers. Relatively clean unlike Bruce SpringTEEN.
He's basically an original member to the "famous" Journey. I mean didn't he write half the hits or more?
