However, it's available many places online, including Amazon.
It is IMPERATIVE that you properly mix the Chlorine base chemical with the acid solution (often 4% HCL acid) in order for it to be effective at creating the Chlorine Dioxide gas necessary to sanitize.
You ALWAYS activate the chlorine in a small vessel, like a shot glass, tilted on an angle, so the droplets can concentrate to one "corner". You MUST then allow time (at least 30 seconds, but not more than a minute) for the reaction to be complete.
In nearly all situations, the two solutions are mixed at a 1:1 ratio - drop for drop. After waiting for activation, the solution can be mixed with water in the desired concentration or introduced to the wash water.

Or... just grow your own spinach and lettuce at home.
Lettuce is one of the easiest and fastest vegetables to grow at home. It grows well in cool weather, in containers and you can grow it indoors if it's near a window with sunlight. Lettuce only needs about 6 hours of sunlight daily. You can even use LED grow lights indoors. It only takes 45 to 50 days and you'll be harvesting fresh lettuce.
Plant loose leaf varieties of lettuce or a pre-mix salad blend. That way, you just keep harvesting the outer leaves whenever you want... but let the lettuce plant keep growing and producing more. Instead of pulling the whole plant, snip off the larger, outer leaves using clean scissors. Leave the small inner leaves alone, and they will continue to grow, giving you fresh salads for weeks. If you want lettuce all year long, then plant some... wait 30 days and plant more lettuce in a different container. While one is maturing, the other is ready to eat. You'll never run out so long as you keep watering and taking care of the lettuce plants.

But the reality is, very, very few will.
If you do grow your own lettuce, the chances of getting e-coli from it is extremely small.
If you buy lettuce from the store, chances of it having trace amounts of e-coli or the lettuce having been sprayed with some pesticide or herbicide is nearly 100%. I understand not growing harder to grow veggies... but lettuce and cabbage and spinach are easy. So is green onion.

Personally, I wouldn't bother worrying about that aspect - if it's even a thing...
One could just use the inexpensive and readily available liquid disinfectant chlorine bleach. I'd say about 1 in 20 of bleach to water and soak the produce for 20 - 30 minutes and rinse well.
Remember kids, it isn't the chlorine doing the job, it's the oxygen the chlorine brings along that does the disinfecting (and bleaching).
