Of 34 miles on federal land, 14 are in Wyoming, and the Cowboy State holds 87% of the reported coal reserves associated with active mines on federal land.

I keep getting told, even by at least one big X account on our side, that "we began phasing out (coal) 20 years ago."

This was in regards to the decline of West Virginia.

That didn't sound right at all.
