On Gowdy, when nominations were being discussed, Gowdy himself said words to the effect of 'dont nominate me, I wouldn't be a good choice'. At around that time, there were Q posts concurring with this, dont recall the specifics.
So the thought on Gowdy is that he is making lots of noise about the disagreeable things going on, but never pushing to the extent where there are tangible outcomes and penalties to the people he is 'going after'. A bit of a decoy in a sense.
Contrast with Durham, he & Barr has this same accusation levied at him.. BUT the panic of the dems in the House, the ones heading up all the committees and so on indicates that Durham has them wound up so tight that they are climbing the walls.. Gowdy never had this impact.
Which is a shame since I enjoy the spectacle of him grilling some of the nastier swamp rats - he would make a good prosecutor if he didn't have puppet strings.
