The Axis of Evil is irrefutable scientific proof not only that God exists, but that 'muh aliens' almost certainly don't, big claims to make I know - bear with me. The first step to finding the Axis began when scientists who were mostly Atheist proved the existence of Cosmic Microwave Background radiation or CMB in 1964, which disproved the steady state theory, which said that there was no beginning whatsoever and that the universe has always existed.
Think of CMB as left-over heat from the Big Bang. Further CMB Experiments - the first begun in 1988 with the ground-based advanced cosmic microwave explorer (1988-1996), there are 16 on-going, have been 43 finished, 3 cancelled and there are 3 planned experiments. They mainly use ground-based observatories, high altitude balloons and satellites.
In the '90s they found that the universe was flat and largely disproved cosmic strings, which is interesting because it says in Isaiah 34:4 and Revelation 6:14 that God will roll up the heavens like a scroll when he's remaking the universe (this is after Judgement Day).
In 1992, through analysis of data from the Cosmic Background Explorer satellite, they discovered that CMB was anisotropic, rather than isotropic - a big breakthrough for creationist cosmology and the beginning of the end of intellectually-honest atheistic cosmology.
Disheartened by their results, the scientists kept launching satellites with newer and newer technology, hoping to find that the equipment had failed, or that a higher definition 'picture' would finally prove their vaunted isotropic CMB and invalidate the earlier conclusions.
The results came back again and again in higher definition, accumulating until in 2010 the first all-sky map from the Planck satellite was released, and 2013 when a higher definition map was released and the mission ended.
Astrophysicists still puzzled years later: 6 June 2019 - ESA's Planck satellite has found no new evidence for the puzzling cosmic anomalies that appeared in its temperature map of the Universe.
What anomalies puzzled them so? What did they find? In a way they found God - which is why this is probably the first time you're hearing about any of this.
In higher and higher definition, by seeking to disprove intelligent design the astrophysicists proved it (though a minority such as Hugh Ross were trying to prove it). They proved it by finding something they named The Axis of Evil - which they hated, and continue to hate to this day because of what it proves.
This axis is a preferred line which pervades the entire universe, a line which is drawn from tracing the anisotropic differences in CMB - and get this, the Axis lines up perfectly with the ecliptic of the Earth (the plane that the Earth travels as it orbits the Sun).
This means that no matter where your alien civilization may exist in the universe, in the billions of years life has had to develop anywhere - by the time you reached the technological level we were at in the 90s, you'd have discovered us. You'd have went to the center of this Axis - this giant Universe-sized arrow, and you'd have found the Earth.
Why does this axis exist, and why does it point here? - given the expanding universe, and the countless proofs for intelligent design (Read the Creator and the Cosmos by Hugh Ross)..The most likely answer is because the Big Bang happened right here, and given all of this evidence, we can claim nigh-irrefutable proof both that there's a Creator, and that they have made an Earth-centered universe.
This has Massive theological and philosophical implications - it means that our planet, and our species is of ultimate importance to God.
You may then ask - why do all those billions of galaxies exist, if they're barren?
The scientific answer, is that without all that extra mass, the laws of physics wouldn't be fine-tuned enough for the countless amount of random things to happen, which were required to happen exactly as they did - so that the Earth and our solar system could be like they are.
For example, if there was >1% more matter, then our light elements wouldn't exist, and if there was >1% less matter, our heavy metals wouldn't exist - everything is just barely perfect right now, and we live in an unbelievably fine-tuned universe.
The religious answer is simple and found in Psalm 19:1-4: The heavens declare the glory of God. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.
Here is an article written by a scientist trying to explain the 'Axis of Evil', you can really get their confused attitude to it - and one of his possible excuses is that the universe is shaped like a doughnut, no - really.
Side note: for whatever reason the word 'anisotropic' is not being recognized as a word, and no issue with 'isotropic'
