2016, 2024 and more to come . . . GOD BLESS America and its gyroscope!
"Einstein made this observation in a private letter to his son in the 1950s. He was being urged to leave the United States because his son feared the US was about to turn into a fascist state in reaction to the Cold War — but Einstein did not think that would happen.
"The gyroscope metaphor is apt: a gyroscope resists tipping and self-corrects when destabilized, which is exactly what Einstein was saying about American democracy — that it has some built-in corrective mechanism that pulls it back from the edge."
CBS News, published this morning (May 25, 2026), citing U.S. officials with knowledge of the matter. Here's what the reporting says: U.S. intelligence shows that Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is effectively holed up in an undisclosed location with little access to the outside world and is only reached by a labyrinth of couriers. The Iranian officials authorized to work with the Trump administration have been having a difficult time communicating inside of their own government system — and it's a central reason why the details of a potential deal with Iran have been slow to emerge. When the U.S. sends proposed details, the difficulty in reaching the supreme leader means there can be a long delay before the U.S. receives a response. CBS News
Most Iranian leaders don't see daylight, spending weeks inside highly fortified bunkers and avoiding speaking to each other unless absolutely necessary. One official was quoted saying, "Watching them try to figure out how to talk to each other is almost like watching a sitcom. They are completely exasperated." CBS NewsCBS News

Even the highest officials in the Iranian government are unaware of his location and are not able to directly contact him directly. Instead, messages are passed through a network of couriers created to obscure the supreme leader's location. The Jerusalem Post
Story from CBS News that broke today. The key context is that this is Iran's new Supreme Leader — Mojtaba Khamenei, son of the previous Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed in the February 28, 2026 U.S.-Israeli strikes.
It's quite a remarkable situation geopolitically — negotiations being slowed down by a courier relay system feels almost medieval, but given that U.S. and Israeli intelligence apparently tracked and killed much of the Iranian leadership through their electronic communications, it makes grim strategic sense why Mojtaba Khamenei would go completely dark.
