Treating info as possibilities rather than absolutes is important. The moment you file information away as fact or fiction the brain isn't gonna want to re-file that info. It's literally a defense mechanism.
At some point enough info is gonna lead to (hopefully) proper conclusions.
I know I'm certainly not perfect. I've had to eat crow a time or two.
I've found that you can't reason with people once their stance gets into cult/hype territory. It doesn't matter if it's about the vax, religion, or sports. Once the frenzy sets in and it's part of their identity, all logic goes out the window. They can't hear it.
Our side is not immune to this either.
