The highest enlisted rank only goes to E-9. How do I know that? I served 22 years as a P3 Orion flight engineer and I'm a retired Navy Chief E-7. Senior Chief is E-8 rank and Master Chief is E-9 rank. The only enlisted rank higher than E-9 is the Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON). That is the most senior ranking enlisted sailor of all the E-1 through E-9 enlisted rank structure in the entire U.S. Navy. Not sure where you're getting that E-12 stuff from.
