I hope people understand, this is what Charlie was really about. And what any Christian should be about. It doesn’t mean justice won’t happen. It doesn’t mean “he gets off the hook”. As a leader in the early church, his wisdom and powerful speaking were so compelling that his opponents could not argue against him. Who does that sound like? Stephen is considered the very first Christian martyred for his faith. And as I sit here…I wanna be so pissed. I wanna be mad at Trump. Mad at Kash. All of them. We’re not back, we’re being killed off!….but it’s not there fault. It’s this world. It’s Satan. As I sat there in my grief, I was reminded by the Holy Spirit about Stephen. Because even as he was being stoned to death, as he prayed for forgiveness for his executioners…who was also there? Saul. Soon after Saul would leave for Damascus where he encounters Jesus. Soon Saul would become Paul. And Paul was amazing. This is God’s plan. From heaven Stephen would be cheering on Paul. God’s plan is always worth it. And now, as I stand up against my own hatred, my own wants…I pray, hoping Charlie’s death will create a thousand more Charlie Kirks. A million more. Those who are fearless. As we Christians are suppose to be. I’m not. I’m afraid. I feel it, and I’m sorry for my weakness Lord. I hate my weakness. It feels like unsure footing. If anyone knows anything about Grand Nationals, they are monsters. And only a v6. Only come in the color black. To me it had comms before I even saw the end of the show. As in back in the day we all called it “the sleeper”. You never challenge a GN. And esp a GNX. Black and stealthy looking, underestimated. Black ops? I help a sister church the first Thursday of every month, when I can, to supply lots of food, groceries for the needy. We usually do upwards of 400-500 families these days. Basically we use the very large parking lot to line up those who apply and we load up their vehicles as they come around. We try to get some words in, “have a blessed day”, “thank you for coming”, anything to show kindness and love. And many have found Christ through these methods. Today tho I noticed something. Was already wondering about this. Because normally we serve probably 60% Mexican or the likes on this day. I’d say it’s normally 60% Mexican. 35% white. 5% black. Today tho was incredibly different. I’d say 15% Mexican today. Massive drop. I didn’t mention it while I was there but noticed people talking about it later. I figure it was on people’s minds considering what all has happened these past two weeks. That’s pretty incredible. I don’t know if they were afraid to show up, or already self deported? It’s just pretty amazing to see that kinda change so quickly in an area like mine. The few Mexicans I did interact with seemed very easy to communicate with. No broken language or anything.
