I agree, we made sure they read all the side effects to him directly... and they did. But he agreed to it... I think he's so scared and intimidated that it is "their way or the highway". Thank you for the prayers and concern.

We had Budesonide at home (Thanks Dr. Bartlett) but now that he is "in their system" they won't give anything except what their own protocols. They won't even give NAC, which we showed them the NIH paper for covid patients. They looked at it and said, "we don't use that". It's a nightmare. They won't even "follow the science".

He's not even in ICU, it's a Pulmonary unit. She's getting in touch with patient advocate rep for a resolution.

https://www.13wmaz.com/article/news/local/delta-variant-test-numbers-verify/93-91f2e845-05de-4edd-9526-baba114f535f This gives a good explanation... but in a nutshell, they can't test for any variant or the seasonal flu... the tests don't differentiate. But in a lab they take samples, look at the DNA, then extrapolate an estimate.

They won't add the Remdesivir "because it's longer than 10 days" funny how the rules change. Glad to hear you are recovering!

It's "covid pneumonia" to quote the doctor. (Like it's any different than any other pneumonia) azithromycin and steroids so far, plus the Baracitinib which is an anti-inflamatory under EUA. Thank you for the prayers.
