It won't work.

First they'll label the parents "bourgeois". Then they'll denounce the parents in front of all of the other neighborhood children. Then they will send the parents off to re-education camps from which they will never return.

Then the kids will wonder why there's no supper made for them and eventually why the power isn't working which they only notice because they can't charge their cell phones or play X-Box. But by then they will have been sent to re-education camps themselves thanks to informers.
