The fact is, the Mexican cartels are all over the United States as well. They have drug, human, and arms trafficking in every state.
I am not saying it will happen, but I think it is better to be prepared that when we hit the cartels, do not be surprised if they hit us here with tactics we are not used to in the States.

Wow! So why do they have a helicopter route that follows the Potomac that basically crosses the landing approach flight path? Can't the helicopters go further away from the runway, so if they are off by 100 feet in altitude it's no big deal? It seems so dicey.
My closest call was actually at cruising altitude over "flyover country." I don't recall feeling any evasive maneuvers, but I happened to be looking out the window and another airplane (Boeing or Airbus) crossed directly beneath us a couple hundred feet away. You could almost feel a jet wash it was so close. I've never seen that before and it took my breath away.

It's kind of funny, here I thought we put in all the hard work during the rally time period to help get Trump back in office, thinking we'd have a chance to relax if he won. But POTUS is getting so much done so fast, it's mentally exhausting. I have zero idea how he can do this. He is superhuman.

I hear you. To be clear, it wasn't my intent to disparage Trump in any way.
I do think fathers play incredibly important roles in children's lives. Sometimes, kids might get away with some things by pushing their moms and playing off of their heartstrings.
The idea of Dad being home means the bullshit is over. Clean up the mess, get your shit put away, do your homework, and respect your mom.
It may seem like an old-school, father-led, nuclear family from years ago, but I still think it holds value. It's certainly from an era in which Donald J Trump grew up.
And I am fine with that. There are some past ideals that we have gotten away from that I would be okay with going back to.

Thank you for that thorough account. This newer video in this post makes the lights on the airplane look like ballpark lights coming in. They are super bright.
Even if the pilot had Night Vision Goggles (NVG) on, there were two other people that could notice the plane.
And just like we all know to look both ways before crossing the street, this is the exact same situation in flying terms. The helicopter pilot knew he was crossing the flight path of commercial airlines landing. For his own life, he would have looked both ways.
Hopefully, we get to hear the black box recordings so we at least get some understanding of what happened moments before impact.

It's going to be very interesting to see how things unfold with China.
China takes a grinding decades-long approach, and the US takes a 2 to 4-year ADHD approach.
Trump has a short window to do some pretty major things. If we don't accomplish confronting China while Trump is in charge, I can see China overtaking the US in the global economy and influence over the longterm.
