I thought is was fairly clear that they are there by Trump’s command, or with his blessing.
- There’s a big narrative among normie patriots that the troops are part of a Biden police state. i.e. the recent vid of the DC construction worker showing all the troops, then saying “If you need all these troops, you didn’t win” or whatever the line is. Is that just doom-driven?
- I’ve even seen that here or on TDW as a meme.

- I saw acting SecDef mingling with enlisted troops a couple nights ago
- By law, the President commands NG in DC
