I think Desantis may be necessary in order to legitimize DJT's GOP nominations. he might even have been encouraged by 45. If Trump got it without a real strong candidate running against him many sheep, who want another candidate on the right, might not vote at all. This will open many eyes that he is the one and only legitimate candidate and drive the largest republican voting turnout in history.
No individual can have more power than the thing they represent. Look at George Floyd for instance. How long has it been since you heard his name? The left put all their eggs in that basket and it's power faded quickly. That's why the civi rights weren't called black rights. Laws that define civilized behavior to and for all were born from that. We didn't need to do it over for every race. Q knew this. I think this is reason enough to never reveal himself. If congress is who decides when elections are held could they not, once the GOP regain the majority, just call for a new election cycle to begin immediately? It sets precedent for the future but I doubt the dems will ever gain majority again after all this anyway.
