What’s going to happen with midterms is we are going to lose the house, and that’s planned for as well. Barring any more biological weapons being deployed we are seeing Mamdani’s influence remind all the leftists how good they could have it, and with leftist influencer Hasan Piker vowing to never vote for another corporatist centrist we will see a record number of 3rd party and couch voters as democrats swing toward the DSA and the working family party. It’s going to be tough for democrats with Newsom having gone on the record against the billionaire tax. I expect them to appease the leftists somehow like having AOC run and then be VP but that could backfire and AOC might win the primary. Democrats may pull ahead in the house after midterms but 2028 is going to be the year of accelerationism where they want actual policies like Medicare for all (which can’t happen because the hospitals will revolt) or another “tax the rich” scheme, or this ban ICE nonsense which is how Trump won the last election. Democrats can’t win 28. Their voters hate them.
