Is he one of the Boys from Brazil?

Well, He is back today doing the same crazy pattern.

The 4 engine jet was flying over suburban neighborhoods between 1800 and 3500 ft. altitude.
Pull the over one.

No idea. It seems dumb if it is a training flight over a Heavily populated area with hundreds of flights and multiple airports.

Higher probability than not. And we are suppose to wait 10 years to find out.

The odds are high that this is a distraction and not a real break through. If you do the math, this is not a practical method of energy generation.
Based on some easy to perform calculations, I concluded if one used this 200 laser method to generate 1.1 MJ (300 Watt-hr) on a large enough scale to power the US electrical grid in 2021, you will need 135 million gallons of (deuterium & tritium) water. Just saying.

Two things.

  1. Why would any man abuse his children by making anyone of these creatures their mother?
  2. If they don't have sex and get pregnant, they put the abortionist out of business. Ok....go for it.

My objective was to get folks opinions on AI. Have a nice day.

After 31 years of working on satellites and observing the powers that be spew their predictions on the future, I have concluded that most stuff like star trek and Westworld are Sci-fi porn. It is fantasy. It makes you ask the wrong questions.

When I was younger, I questioned reality. Then I realized questioning reality does not change it. Besides, it is not my reality. I am just visiting.

Have you ever heard of the hacker that setup the computer to do only one thing. it asked for a cookie. The system would do nothing else. Once the programmer's demands were met, he typed a simple reply to the computer. "Oreo" This story was from the 70s but seems to apply today.
If the machine says it does not want to be turned off, does it actually have a want or a programmed response?

If AIs tell us to f*** off, I submit that the programmer created the eventual reaction. If this, then that. It continues until the result is reached.
I do find it curious that AI and Deep fakes arrive in this society at about the same time. No coincidences.

FondueFerret, I would think in order to have consciousness a machine needs a mind. Since we cannot define what the mind is, I don't think we can replicate one. IMHO

Angela84, I think you're close to problem. It is like the definition of vaccine. They change the definition of sentient to allow them to lower our standards.

Condor, this is not a serious response. Have you ever programmed software? Or have you ever built any mechanical device. If it works or not, you are responsible for the results.

He was not a Pedo. He was a German POW on the Eastern front. His story suggested to me that you do not want to be incarcerated by Russians.
I am surprised the guard don't already castrate the Pedo bastards.

Just a story about a German soldier that was captured by the Bolsheviks and put in a POW camp. He explained that survival in the camps was not very likely. One day some of the guards kids were skating on a pond and one fell through the ice. The Russians sent prisoners out on to the ice to save the kid. He was one of the POWs that were volunteered to save the child. They were successful. After that, the mother of the child provided them with extra food that helped him survive. He later became a technician at Hughes Aircraft Company.
Just a story I heard 30 years ago.
