Some people like me may have been considering Novavax as a safer shot than the other others but I am reconsidering due to the following:

• It is still spike protein based. Chance of side effects is lower but still present. Chance of leaking and causing mutations is still present. Chance of it not being effective against any variants is still present.

• Unknown long term safety data for new nanoparticle tech. This is beyond my biology knowledge to explain but it does not seem purely "traditional." I am going to talk to a virologist I trust.

• If you have had covid, do not get any vaccine

But this one from P.W this morning really got me...

• "In 2015, Novavax received a US$89 million research grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to support the development of a vaccine against human respiratory syncytial virus for infants via maternal immunization." (Year sound familiar?)

"In May 2020, Novavax received US$384 million from the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations to fund early-stage evaluation in healthy adults of the company's COVID-19 vaccine candidate NVX-CoV2373 and to develop resources in preparation for large-scale manufacturing, if the vaccine proves successful. Well who is CEPI?

WOW. Is there NO traditional attenuated vaccine and NO vaccine that doesn't have a shady background?
