From the Geneva Bible. This seems a verse for our current moment.
"Violence shall no more be heard of in thy land, neither desolation, nor destruction within thy borders: but thou shalt call salvation, thy walls, and praise, thy gates." -- Isaiah 60:18
I have been reading the Geneva Bible--the Bible the Pilgrims brought with them to America. The Geneva Bible was published in 1560. Much of the KJV traces back to the Geneva Bible--except that King James did not like the notes by the people who translated the Geneva Bible from the original languages and created the Geneva Bible. He didn't like the notes because to him the notes undermined the notion of worldly kings being ordained by God to rule the people via their "royal" bloodlines. The margin notes are an incredible addition to the text because we get to see the viewpoint of learned Christians and Biblical scholars of the 1500s.
Today I started reading Isaiah Chapter 43 and in the very first verse there are two margin notes. This is the Chapter after Isaiah is giving prophecy from God about Him sending Christ to the world. For context, Chapter 42: v. 6: "I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and I will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, & for a light of the Gentiles, 7. That thou may open the eyes of the blind, & bring out the prisoners from the prison: and them that sit in darkness, out of the prison house."
(This seems to me to be what Jesus came to do and it is happening right now in the Great Awakening.)
The Geneva Bible has short summaries in italics before each chapter. The summary for the first part of Chapter 43, which I was reading this morning: "The Lord comforteth his people.."
Halfway through the first verse there are two margin notes. I was surprised to see the word "conspiracies" in the second note. The note is for the second part of the verse: "Fear not: for I have redeemed thee: I have called thee by thy name, thou art mine."
The margin note to me feels like it was written 500 years ago for all of us right now:
"When thou seest dangers and conspiracies on all sides, remember this benefit and the love of thy God, and it shall encourage thee."
The Pilgrims came to America with the Geneva Bible in hand to get away from the bloodline families of Europe and their dark rule. And here we are 500 years later seeing "dangers and conspiracies on all sides" caused by those same bloodline families that our ancestors sought to leave behind when they came to America. We should take their advice to remember the love of God and let that encourage us so that we FEAR NOT."
We should fear not as we fight to take back our country and restore it to being a Godly nation. God is with us and just as Q said: It's going to be Biblical.
A blessed day to you all.
I have been reading the Geneva Bible--the Bible that the pilgrims brought with them to America. It predates the King James Bible by roughly 50 years and the KJV translators made ample use of the Geneva Bible. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but in Chapter 9 is the discussion of the blowing of the 5th trumpet. (I'm standardizing the spelling here because the Geneva Bible has no J's, the u's are v's, the s's sometimes look like f's, etc.)
-
And there came out of the smoke Locusts upon the earth; and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. [Like the sting of a needle maybe?]
-
And it was commanded them, that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree: but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. [a footnote for this verse regarding the men in question says: "That is, the infidels whom Satan blindeth with the efficacy of error." (Interesting word choice there: "efficacy" of error, since "efficacy" is a word generally used now in relation to medicine. And we certainly saw a lot of people blinded by MSM and the whole COVID puppeteers who certainly seem to be working for Satan)]
-
And to them was commanded that they should not kill them, but that they should be vexed five months, and that their pain should be as the pain that cometh of a scorpion, when he hath stung a man. [one of the footnotes for this verse: "The elect for a certain space and at times are in troubles: for the grasshoppers endure but from April to September, which is five months." Another footnote regarding the sting: "For at the beginning, the sting of their conscience once seemeth as nothing, but except they soon seek remedy, they perish." This reminds me of all the discussion of venom and other poisons being in the vaccines.]
-
Therefore in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it, and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.
-
And the form of the locusts was like unto horses prepared unto battle, and on their heads were, as it were, crowns, like unto gold, and their faces were like the faces of men. [Crown like "corona"? Faces like men like manmade maybe?]
-
And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. [Hair like the blood clots maybe?]
-
And they had habbergions [a type of chainmail armor apparently], like to the habbergions of iron: and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots when many horses run into battle.
-
And they had tails like unto scorpions and there were stings in their tails & their power was to hurt men five months. [Footnote on stings in this one: "To infect & kill with their venomous doctrine." The Geneva Bible translators were seeing this all as allegory, but what if it was maybe also more literal than they imagined?]
-
And they have a King over them, which is the Angel of the bottomless pit, whose name is Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek he is named Apollyon. [Footnote for this verse for the word "Angel": "That is, destroyer, which is Antichrist, the Pope, king of hypocrites & Satan's ambassador." The pilgrims where very early protestants, so they weren't fans of the Catholic Pope.]
-
One woe is past, and behold, yet two woes come after this.
-
The the sixth Angel blew the trumpet & I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden alter, which is before God,
-
Saying to the sixth Angel, which had the trumpet, Loose the four Angels, which are bound in the great river Euphrates. [Footnote on this: "Meaning the enemies of the East country, which should afflict the Church of God, as did the Arabians, Sarasines, Turks, and Tartarians." (It mentions TARTARIANS in the footnote. Interesting!)]
-
And the four Angels were loosed, which were prepared at an hour, at a day, at a month, and at a year, to slay the third part of men.
Is it just me or does this sound a lot like the unleashing of the coronavirus on humanity?
I'm reading Jonathan Cahn's Harbinger II. Lots of uncanny parallels between America's fall with ancient Israel's fall. But in America's case, there is still hope that the Great Awakening will bring America back to God and we will not suffer the same fate as ancient Israel.
Quick context from page 112: "In the last days of ancient Israel, nine harbingers appeared in the land, warning of national calamity and coming destruction....The same harbingers of warning, the same nine signs of a nation under judgment have now manifested on American soil." The first harbinger was 9/11 when the enemy was allowed to strike America. When God warned the Israelites to turn away from their evil doings or lose God's protection, they did not heed the warning. The Assyrians came in and rained destruction on the northern kingdom of Israel. After the destruction, there was a reprieve period where the people had a chance to heed the warning. But the Israelites did not. "Instead, they hardened themselves and responded in defiance. They made a vow. The vow was recorded in Isaiah 9:10. And from that vow and verse come the seven other harbingers. They said this: The bricks have fallen down, but we will rebuild with hewn stones; the sycamores are cut down, but we will replace them with cedars. ....They wouldn't repent. They wouldn't be humbled. They wouldn't change their course ... Instead, they would come back stronger and greater than before. It was a vow of defiance." (pg 114)
Okay, long story short on that: America did the same thing after 9/11--like literally the exact same thing even down to Senators John Edwards and Tom Daschle (both Dems for people who don't know) quoting that exact passage from Isaiah in speeches regarding 9/11. But it gets weirder: "On 9/11, in the last moments of destruction, the North Tower of the World Trade Center began to collapse. As it plummeted to the ground, it sent forth a metal beam into the air. The beam struck an object, a tree growing in the soil at the corner of Ground Zero. The tree was a sycamore as in the prophecy." That tree was later replaced at the location of the downed sycamore--not with another sycamore, but, indeed, with a cedar tree, which was called "The Tree of Hope". That tree has since died. See this 2014 article for more info on that: https://coercioncode.com/2014/08/11/americas-tree-of-hope-dies/
But here's what I'm a bit surprised about. (I'm only 119 pages into the book so maybe the author will address it later, and I've just not gotten there.) The sycamore tree that was destroyed on 9/11--the root system of it was preserved and turned into a "work of art" which was installed in the courtyard of the church where the original sycamore had been. This piece of "art" is called "Trinity Root"--18 feet tall, 25 feet wide cast in bronze, but painted RED. It looks like a big red spider to me. It reminds me of the giant creepy spider sculptures that are around the world at places like the Guggenheim and the Tate Museums. (example of one of these "art works": https://www.theguardian.com/arts/gallery/2007/oct/03/spider?page=with:img-1 )
Here's the thing though: the church had the sculpture removed. It was taken to Connecticut. Much to the consternation of the artist, who is all sorts of offended by them moving it. Here's the article dated 7/7/2016 from the New York Times where they are seem very supportive of the artist's offended viewpoint.
But I'm wondering if this isn't a sign that things started to shift at that point. 7/7/2016 is the date of the article. President Trump's number being 7's are often talked about. And this monstrosity masquerading as "art" was painted red. Why? Why have the tree roots represented as red? A giant red spider feels pretty satanic to me.
Maybe some of you all know more and can give me your thoughts. Maybe I'm seeing something as satanic looking that other people would see as innocent. Your thoughts and insights would be appreciated.
