The FL Governor had signed legislation to quit spraying over Florida, and to cease by July 1, 2025.
May 6 2025 MIAMI, Fla.—Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced his support for two bills passed by the Florida Legislature aimed at protecting Floridians from unauthorized chemical exposure and atmospheric manipulation.
“Today I was in Miami to support SB 700, which bans local governments from unilaterally adding fluoride to public drinking water,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “In addition to this, I also reiterated in Miami that Florida is not a testing ground for geoengineering. We already do not permit this activity, and I will be signing SB 56 to prohibit the practice in our skies. The Free State of Florida means freedom from governments or private actors unilaterally applying chemicals or geoengineering to people or public spaces.”
Senate Bill 700, the Florida Farm Bill, includes a provision prohibiting local governments from unilaterally adding fluoride to public drinking water. The legislation follows a November 2024 advisory by Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo cautioning against community water fluoridation due to potential health risks, particularly for pregnant women and children.
Senate Bill 56 repeals the state’s ability to issue permits for geoengineering and weather modification. The bill also prohibits the injection, release, or dispersion of chemicals or substances into the atmosphere for the express purpose of altering weather, temperature, climate, or sunlight intensity. Those who violate the law face third-degree felony charges, up to five years in prison, and fines up to $100,000.
The bill also includes key enforcement provisions. Beginning October 1, 2025, all publicly owned airports must report the presence of any aircraft equipped with weather modification or geoengineering equipment to the Florida Department of Transportation. Additionally, the Department of Environmental Protection will launch a public reporting portal to identify suspected violations which will launch this summer.
These measures reinforce Florida’s commitment to protecting public health, preserving individual choice, and ensuring no government or corporation can unilaterally impose environmental or chemical risks on the public.

John le Carré¹ (born David John Moore Cornwell) re-defined spy fiction into something widely considered as more ‘authentic’. His work emerged during a period replete with spy scandals and public investigations. ²
John le Carré- Education and Intelligence Service Cornwall/ le Carré studied at the University of Bern in Switzerland in 1948, and briefly served as a low-level courier for British intelligence, before studying German at Oxford University. He completed national service in the British Army’s Intelligence Corps 1950 -1951 in Austria, then taught French and Latin at Eton College 1956 - 1958.
In 1958, Cornwall/ le Carré joined MI5 in counter-intelligence, transferring to MI6 (SIS) in 1960, where he was stationed at the British Embassy in Bonn until 1964. While in the Foreign Service, he began writing under the pseudonym, John le Carré, to comply with service rules, publishing his debut novel Call for the Dead in 1961, followed by A Murder of Quality in 1962.
The Spy Who Came in from the Cold (1963)-Breakthrough The breakthrough novel by le Carré was The Spy Who Came in from the Cold (1963), a critical and commercial success that redefined spy fiction by emphasizing moral ambiguity, bureaucratic incompetence, and the human cost of espionage, contrasting sharply with the glamorous portrayals in works like those of Ian Fleming.³
He resigned from intelligence work in 1964 to write full-time, producing over 20 novels, including the George Smiley series, beginning with Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (1974), which explored Cold War themes through intricate character studies and institutional critiques. Many of le Carré ‘s novels have been made into movies or tv-series.⁴
Tradecraft : Exhibit & Lectures at the Bodleian Libraries The exhibit, Tradecraft, at the Bodleian Libraries (1 October 2025 – 6 April 2026), University of Oxford draws upon the vast archive of John le Carré. This material – much of which is displayed for the first time – spans his entire life and career, from his time as a student at Lincoln College, Oxford, to drafts penned in his final weeks
The exhibition uses a wealth of personal possessions and manuscripts to examine John le Carré’s career and the line of autobiography that ran through his work.⁵
John le Carré once said: “I am not a spy who writes novels, I am a writer who briefly served as a spy for the British government.” While this may be true, subterfuge and secrecy defined le Carré (whose real name was David Cornwell), both as a man and as an author. After he died in 2020, his comprehensive private archive was donated to the Bodleian Libraries in Oxford. This illuminating and finely detailed exhibition is the first public event that delves into his posthumous legacy through his writing.⁶

CLEARWATER, Fla. - A man faces charges after Pinellas County deputies say he called 911 claiming security at a club "took" $300 from him – money he used in an attempt to pay an employee for sex.
The backstory:
According to an arrest affidavit filed by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, Sultan Alnofaie, 21, called 911 from the OZ Gentlemen's Club near Clearwater shortly after midnight on Sunday, June 8.
Deputies say Alnofaie told dispatchers to "come take him to jail," then explained that he paid a worker at the club for sex, but did not receive "services."
