what does this mean?

I am seriously considering running for school board here in my local community in North Carolina because I do believe in public education that serves all the kids who deserve a second to none education. It is our future.

Frankly I really do not know much about how a school board is actually ran. I have a vision, but doing the actual job is something I lack knowledge in.

I would like to set up an exploratory committee or something to flesh out if it is for me or not. I'm looking for advice. I'm looking for someone who knows he ins/outs of being on a school board, or someone anyone who knows how it actually operates. How it operates per the county commission, and per any state mandates, regulations, laws ect.

Where do I start?

Any help would be nice.

My platform is no CRT, no outcome based results, no LGBTQIA2+P, no common core. I want to support teachers and parents. I want a good solid curriculum that actually produces results.

I love kids because I love my daughter who also attends public school.

Anyone wanna give some advice or pointers?

I'm seeing lots of posts and comments about how to fight Covid mandates. I see compilations of websites we can visit and research for help. All good!

But I also see people recommending to lawyer up if an employer forces a vaccine mandate. I agree but here is the rub:

Most of us do not have $5-10 grand lying around in a bank somewhere to fight the behemoths known as Corporate America or even some small to medium size business as we all know they have law firms on retainer 24/7/365.

So what can be done about this? I for one say we set up a fund. But I do not know the ins and outs of setting up a legal defense fund. I'm willing to help, but we need some people who have money and know how to step up if they are concerned about this.

I can give speeches and reach out and write articles about the human rights violations that are being pushed on us with mandates. The one thing I do not know is how to set up such a structure that is flush with cash and knowhow.

So I need a link or three about masks and why they don't work. I'm gonna look up the MIT study on social distancing. But as far as masks go all I see is the CDC.

Little history lesson, they hate Roosevelt for the same reason they hate Trump. Both from prestigious families, and both wealthy. Roosevelt actually used the government to put people to work and make sure elderly had a modicum of income if they lived to see it: Social Security. Trump has done the same sorts of things but for a different time, like building the wall with all America steel. Or making sure his tax cut was broad based for everyone except a very few living in the coastal cities. People compare that to Reagan's 'tax cuts' which were not tax cuts but huge wealth transfer to the Overclass elites financialized investment banker class while many in the middle class had their taxes go up. Trump's tax cuts were for everyone.

Trump ain't no 'conservative' at least how it's been defined since Reagan. He is a nationalist, a populist with some right leaning issues, but overall he is an old fashion FDR/Truman/Eisenhower type liberal.
