I know this sounds ridiculous, but I'm impressed with the insurrectionists in Minneapolis. The more I see of their determination, organization and tactics, the more I'm hopeful for humanity. Weird, I know.
I'm seeing a bunch of people desperately looking for some purpose in life that is bigger than themselves. Imagine if you took away all the DS brainwashing and replaced it with encouragement to do something positive for America. And the world. I think these people genuinely believe that they are on the right side.
When I look past the politics of the rioters, I see nothing but potential. I'd love to feel that level of selflessness and exuberance if things were different. Strip away all the corruption, greed and oppression in the world and I think a lot of people will happily get busy building something wonderful instead of tearing things down.
Of course, all of what I said assumes that the insurrectionists aren't all being paid to do it.
I noticed an article about the Lending Tree founder dying in a UTV crash and the clickbait title about his "criminal" past. The crimes were all speeding tickets. Nothing outrageous, either, just normal speeding. The implication was that he had a lead foot, therefore there's nothing to see here.
Now I read an article about the family killed in a chopper crash. Zachary Bailey (father and pilot, also son of Illinois Republican gubernatorial candidate Darren Bailey) had a "secret past" and a "history of bad behavior", according to MSN. Again, here's a guy with speeding tickets.
Are these just mundane clickbait tricks or is there something else going on?
