Informed opinion, with a link to back up: There are more than two sides in Burma, and several sides are participating in evil. It's the longest running civil war in the world. The military is committing atrocities against entire people groups in the mountain regions. They are not "good guys", but that doesn't mean the gov is good either. Perhaps similar to democrat, rhino, based, etc.

The Burmese military are not good guys. They've been committing genocide in the mountains of Burma for decades, likely supported by China to gain access to resources. Source: I’ve for years followed this crazy volunteer army fighting back - called Free Burma Rangers.

If I had to guess I’d say both Myanmar gov choices aren’t great. It’s the worlds longest running civil war.
