Conditions were as follows; no plow service, no grounds keeping service for public parks, no street sweeping service, drive down the center of the street or get a nail in your tire, no animal control, a deadly feral dog pack of 15 lived on my block, no city inspections or evictions for living in a derelict house, police response time 45 minutes, half of the lots were vacant the houses demolished, half of the houses left were abandoned, the other half occupied but half of those derelict. I lived in a neighborhood where houses were free and my neighbors stole gas and electricity from the city. So no, unfortunately we are not going to kick out the bad politicians and save the country because no one wants to live in their districts and they cheat. Easy to do when the voter rolls have never been purged and no one lives in your city anymore. So get to know your neighbors because when the lights go out, that's all you have.

I used to be a regular at a nice chinese restaurant. There was a waiter there I would talk to about American communism. He believed that could never happen. Even through the pandemic he believed the government had his best interest in mind. That's after spending their entire savings to close the restaurant for two months, closing their indoor dining area, and losing a bunch of customers. What is not to get about power. If people die it just grants you more power from those who are still alive. Well they can say what ever they want as de jure politicians, unconstitutional laws and edicts are to be ignored by the people. If for example the government issued an edict that all white people must shoot themselves in the head as reparations for their supremacy. By your previous post it's obvious you do not understand how to claim your constitutional rights. The constitutional rights of man are still there. The catch is you have to learn how to claim them. There will be no mandatory Vax in the United States, maybe other places but we have guns and lines in the sand. However having rights means claiming them and if you can't feed yourself and have to ask the government for food then no, probably going to have to take the Vax to get it.
It doesn't take much to raise fish, a 250 gallon tote works great. I am converting an in ground pool. Quail, pigeons, rabbits, and guinea pig are also great small space meat sources and of course gardens and fruit bushes and trees. I have 1/3 acre in the suburbs, I believe through proper management I can provide about 90% of my families food not counting grains and feed. If there is a total collapse, the vacant neighbor yards will fill that gap. Still, venturing further then our look out tower and short distance radio signal, no thanks. I really do think people over estimate roving gangs burning down the suburbs, isolated events maybe, but they will be stuck just like everyone else. Travel on foot during the day and get shot in the head by a sniper. They will just stay put waiting for help, when it doesn't come they will eat each other until there is no one left but those who prepared. Then we rebuild. No big deal.
