Consider the moves around the Powell Card.

Meeting on Friday, Flynn Powell Byrne + the 'evil archangels' near Trump
Meeting 'leaked' via Haberman NYT, citing 'military option, martial law'
Byrne reveals about the meeting at numerous outlets: Operation Freedom (Janda), InTheMatrixxx (Red State Radio), SteelTruth (etc)
Byrne's info: Trump appoints Powell as Special Counsel (verbally), WH staff are blocking SP etc from Trump
Follow up reports: Powell visits WH on Monday, is rebuffed and blocked by Meadows & WH staff, etc.

POTUS for sure has Sidney's direct line and talks to her whenever he wants.

Not only that, but SP knows Guiliani who speaks with Trump a few times a day. They don't have Rudy isolated, he's on talk shows almost daily, like the War Room. So SP could call Rudy any time she got snubbed to talk to POTUS.
