It certainly is interesting. My hotel has been canceling on others but not yet me. We will see. Booked an AirBnB as backup and even they were asking me for details about what I would be doing while I was there. Didn't tell them because I'm not dumb, but DC mayor made it clear we aren't welcome there. Well, sorry Bowser, but DC don't belong to you.
Celebration or not I highly expect some rough stuff. Interesting indeed.
It's what i did visiting d.c. I talked to family that used to live in george Town. as long as public transit is moving staying outside is often cheaper and easier. I rode the train/subway in from Virginia. Drops you off right underneath the mall. It was much easier then dealing with traffic.
Yeah, when I used to live just outside DC, it used to be a nightmare driving in, parking or driving around the city. I wonder if they will shutdown public transit on that day. Lets wait and see. My guess is, MOAB would have been dropped already and the wind would have been taken out of the sails of the deep state operators. I dont think there will be much fight by the Mayors and what not. Lets hope for the best.
I went to the 9/12 rally. They just happen to be doing track maintenance that day. I got on at the 2nd stop in virginia and the train was full all the way. So many people couldn't make it. There were so many flooding out of the subway security just opened the gates and didn't have to scan ticket on way out.
I don't think there will be much ado from mayor, etc. Especially if it's as big as 9/12 (probably will be bigger). I'm guessing some congressmen and senators will be there giving speeches.

You can also book something in Maryland or Virginia (Virginia is better) closer to DC as a backup with 24 hour cancellation just in case.
