Apparently, Pence was the Bush's insurance policy, should Trump be removed from office. Pence and the Bush family are close. At the funeral, precisely when daddy's casket went by, W was required to inform the family that he flipped and was no longer covering for them. What we saw was Jeb's reaction to this info.
Whatever it was, Jeb understood it and knew it was bad in a split second.
I'm not sure how W could have informed Jeb that "he'd flipped and wasn't going to cover for him" in less than 1 second. A message like that would take longer to think about.
IMO it was something like a photograph. Something that could draw a visceral reaction instantly without much thought.
And did you see the look on Laura's face?
It was Bush Sr with a firing squad aimed at him with a bullet in his head with the word TRAITOR in all red caps

I think it was worse by the looks of Laura and Jeb. Like Laura was giving him the look "How could you?" Jeb was shocked and thought about it more, then was like wtf?
