Air Force 1 is the code name for the plane that Trump is on. Air Force 1 isn't the make and model.

There was a TD post (I think... I sometimes lose track of tabs) that had the flight track of that plane from DC to TX. One of MonkeyWerx screen grabs.

So, you're right in that doomsday planes are just there and waiting... but this one was in DC and then left for TX... pretty compelling!
